David “Dave” Shinnebarger, Jr.

d. September 21, 2020

David “Dave” Shinnebarger, Jr. age 51, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2020 at his home.

He was born June 22, 1969, the son of David and Cathy (Horrighs) Shinnebarger.

Dave is survived by his parents; brother, Daniel (Samantha) Shinnebarger; niece and nephew, Joy and Paul Shinnebarger; and special pet, Nugget.

He was an avid car enthusiast and loved toy antique campers and boats.  He loved spending time with his family, which included fishing and camping.  Dave always looked forward to going to dinners with his family.  Boating with his family was his favorite activity throughout his life.

He thoroughly loved animals, including his goats, chickens, and especially his pets.

Dave was a self-employed cosmetologist.

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorials can be made to the Animal Protective League in Springfield.

  8. I am so sorry to hear about Dave’s passing. I know what a close loving family you all are and I can’t imagine how hard this is for all of you. I only met Dave a couple of times, but it was apparent that he was a kind, good man. My family will be praying for all of you.

  9. I knew David a long time and we had some great laughs and time goofing off. A great hair professional and took great pride in it. He loved his family. Great sense of humor. You will be missed by many. Rest in eternal peace.
