Connie Kail

Connie Kail, age 86, of Normal, formerly of Springfield, Illinois, went to her Heavenly Home peacefully on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at McLean County Nursing Home, in Normal, Illinois. 

She was born November 1, 1937, in Springfield, Tennessee, the daughter of Paul and Lila (Alley) Shearon.

 Connie married William C. Kail on March 8, 1961 at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Springfield, Illinois. He preceded her in death on November 14, 2010. 

 Connie was loved dearly by her sisters and brothers-in-laws; Bruce and Joan Aho, Janet Boone, James Kail, Helen Ballard, Joy and Marty Connelley, Mark Kail, and many dear nieces and nephews.

 She worked as a lab technician at Saint John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois, for thirty years before her retirement. She was an avid NASCAR and Chicago Cubs fan, an artist, a lover of history, travel, and horses, and a delightful, uplifting personality who brought smiles to all who knew her.

 The family would like to express our sincere appreciation for the loving care of the McLean County Nursing Home Staff and Caregivers who were truly like family to Connie. 

 Family graveside services for Connie will be held on Friday, July 26th, at 10:00 AM at Rochester Cemetery in Rochester, Illinois. Pastor Bennie Fisher of Eastview Baptist Church in Springfield will officiate.
