Claussen, Kathryn

Kathryn A. Claussen, age 74, of Petersburg, passed away Saturday August 9, 2008 at her residence.

Survived by: One Son – Norm (wife Gloria) Claussen of Petersburg One Daughter – Cheryl (husband Dennis) West of Petersburg One Granddaughter – Lindsay (husband Greg) Boutelle, Three Grandsons – Matthew and Joshua Claussen Andrew West One Brother – William Faith of Pocahontas, IL Three Nephews Mrs. Claussen was born March 16, 1934 in Petersburg, Illinois the daughter of Harold and Verda Cook Faith. She graduated from Petersburg Harris High School in 1952. Mrs. Claussen married Norman D. Claussen on March 27, 1954, and he preceded her in death in 1997. She was in the first Emergency Medical Technician Class in Menard County in 1980. She worked for Menard Ambulance for several years and also retired from State Farm Insurance in 1998. She was a member of the Petersburg OES # 572 and the Petersburg United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until time of Memorial Service at 11:00 AM at the Petersburg United Methodist Church on Wednesday. Burial of ashes will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Petersburg. Memorials may be made to Menard County Rescue Squad, Vintage Ag Association, or to charity of choice. Mott & Henning Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
