Robert Nelson Brown, age 75, passed away on the morning of Monday, October 8, 2012 peacefully at his home in Athens, IL.
Robert was born June 29, 1937 in Kalamazoo, MI.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Brown; step-sons, Troy Juhl of Belleville, IL, Kyle (Lenir) Juhl of Lewisville, TX, and Will (Misty) Crenshaw of Athens, IL; step-daughters, Lori (Bill) Coker of Denton, TX, and Jessica (Cody) King of Petersburg, IL; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Robert married Mildred in Lewisville, TX on April 7, 1995.
He worked and retired from Redi-Mix Concrete near Dallas, TX. He was accomplished and recognized for his outstanding driving record several times before his retirement.
Robert enjoyed fishing and crossword puzzles.
Services will be held at Mott & Henning Funeral Home where visitation will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 9:00 until time of funeral at 10:00 AM.

MILDRED,I AM TRULY SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS,BOB WAS A GREAT FRIEND OF MINE.I WILL TRUELY MISS HIM.AS WILL MANY MANY OTHERS.I WILL MISS SEEING HIM AT THE SPRINGFIELD EAGLES,TALKING AND VISITING WITH HIM. ALTHOUGH HE HAD SEVERAL MEDICAL PROBLEMS,I NEVER HEARD HIM COMPLAIN,NOT TOO ME ANYWAY. ANYTHING I MIGHT BE ABLE TOO DO FOR YOU COMFORT JUST YELL MY WAY LOVE YA MILLIE
