Jacqueline May (Hill) Brown, age 83, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2011 at St. John’s Hospice in Springfield.
She is survived by her children, Pat (Don) Lyttaker of Williamsville, Cindy (Mike) Moon of Lake Elsinore, CA., and Brian (Penny) Stevens of Riverton; grandchildren, Ronda (Clyde) Gibbs, Scott (Connie) Peterson, Rick (Susan) Peterson, and Brison Stevens; brother Larry Hill of Lincoln and sister Cora Bingham of Springfield and by several nieces and nephews.
Jacqueline was born on August 18, 1927 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Melvin and Lillian Brant Hill.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Francis Lee Hill and Melvin Hill Jr., and by two daughters Jacqueline Peterson and Marlene Ausmus.
She never met a stranger because everyone was a friend
Visitation will be held from 10 AM on Monday, April 25, 2011 till time of service at 11 AM at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens.

Burial will be held at Brittin Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John’s Hospice

MY GRANDMA WAS THE BEST WOMAN THAT YOU COULD EVER MEET IN THE WORLD!! SHE WROTE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL POEMS. I USED TO LOVE TO HAVE HER READ THEM TO ME. SHE ALWAYS HAD FAITH IN ME. SHE WOULD TELL ME THAT EVEN WITH CEREBRAL PALSY I COULD DO ANYTHING I WANTED TO DO IN LIFE. SHE ALWAYS MADE ME FEEL SPECIAL AND NEVER PUT ME DOWN. IF SHE LOVED YOU,YOU WERE BLESSED, BECAUSE YOU ALWAYS KNEW THAT, AND THERE WERE NEVER STRINGS ATTACHED TO HER LOVE IT WAS ALWAYS UNCONDITIONAL!!. SHE COULD MAKE YOU SMILE ALWAYS. I LOVE YOU GRANDMA AND WILL MISS YOU DEARLY BUT @ LEAST NOW YOU ARE WITH GRANDMA+ GRANDPA HILL AND MY MOM AND AUNT MARLENE GIVE THEM ALL MY LOVE AND HAVE THEM LOVE YOU RIGHT BACK FROM ME.
