Donald E. Bozarth age 87 of Athens, died at Sunny Areas Nursing Home on Saturday March 22, 2008.

Mr. Bozarth was born February 14, 1921 in Williamsville the son of William and Willie Duggins Bozarth.
Mr. Bozarth married Doris Fisher on April 6, 1940 in Springfield. He is preceded in death by his wife on April 27, 2005. He is also preceded in death by six sisters and five brothers.
Mr. Bozarth served in the US Army and Navy during World War II. He was a charter member of Athens VFW, the American Legion, Van Meter Lodge #762 for 50 years and past Master. Mr. Bozarth served as a deputy for Menard Co. Sheriff’s department. He was an alderman for the city of Athens for several years. Don was a 32nd degree Shriner, and retired from Bert’s Service after several years. Mr. Bozarth had volunteered in many community activities through the years.
Visitation will be held at Mott & Henning Funeral Home on Wednesday March 26 from 1:00 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. with Masonic service starting at 1:45 P.M. Graveside services will follow at Joel Hall Cemetery at 2:00 P.M.
