Loretta Joann Kern Bock, age 72, of Springfield, died Monday March 26, 2007 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

She is preceded in death by five brothers; William, McKernon, Merle, Donnie, and Earl, and by two sisters; Ruth and Jessie.

Mrs. Bock was born October 13, 1934 in Sangamon County, the daughter of Bert Roy and Anna Rebecca Schumacher Kern.

She married George Bock on December 26, 1954 at the Fancy Prairie Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Bock was a homemaker. She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Springfield and the VFW Auxiliary Post #10302 in Springfield

Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 PM on Wednesday at Mott & Henning Funeral Home. Funeral services will also be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 10:30 AM.

Memorials can be made to the SIU Foundation/Camp COCO (Children’s Oncology Camp Organization).
