Forty years ago I rented a trailer behind Billy Ross’s house. I loved living there, he had a mean pair of geese, tried to get me on a horse and once he had to get the hogs up so I could get out and go to work, it was a great adventure for a town girl😂. I remember that time very fondly.
Cindy and Kathy, I’m so sorry for your loss. He was a good, good man.

I remember Billy Ross very fondly and he was always smiling. He was always upbeat and positive and was never in a bad mood. He always had a joke to tell. I pray for healing for your family and comfort knowing he is at home with His Father.

So sorry for your lost! I have found memories of all the sleep overs at your house as a young kid! Whenever Billy needed shingles he always stopped by to see me. Billy could make tasty pork rinds. He will be missed. You all are in our prayers. In God we Trust.

Cindy, Kathy, Danny, and Pam, my prayers are with you. His passing feels like an end to that generation of Edwardses. I have so many memories of Billy Ross, from a sleigh ride as a child, to the many German shepherds he raised (my favorite being Toby) to the care that he offered to my mother and dad after Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. He and Dad were “best buds” growing up on Edwards’ farms, in part I think because they were nearer in age than Billy Ross was with his siblings. For some strange reason, though, the memory that sticks out is Dad and Billy Ross capturing would-be gas thieves on the farm in the middle of the night, confronting them with shotguns and in their pjs. He will be greatly missed and I wish I had made it back to Illinois more often to see him.
