Bernice Eigenmann, age 69, of Williamsville, passed away at Springfield Memorial Hospital on Monday, March 10, 2025.
Bernice was born September 29, 1955 in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of Ralph and Ida (Miller) Burneson.
She married Cory Eigenmann on January 25, 1975 at Foursquare Gospel Church in Springfield, IL.
Mourning her passing are her husband, Cory Eigenmann; children, Cameron, Colin, Cody Eigenmann; grandchildren, Caya and Cole Eigenmann; siblings, Vicki (John) Bryant, David Burneson, Scot (Barbara) Burneson; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Bernice graduated from Williamsville High School in 1973.
She worked in retail at the Christian Book Store for several years until they closed.
She was director of the children’s ministry at Destiny Church in Springfield and became an ordained minister from the church. Bernice was a very active member of Destiny Church.
She truly enjoyed teaching the children at the church.
She enjoyed doing crafts, making cards, photography, and jewelry making. Bernice loved traveling, especially places with the sun and the beach. Her true meaning of her life was being a wife, mother, and grandmother.
Visitation for Bernice will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 from 12:00 Noon until time of funeral services at 1:30 PM at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens, Illinois.
Burial will be held at Wolfe Creek Cemetery near Sherman, IL.
