Virginia Beauchamp, age 88, of Petersburg, formerly of Greenview, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Petersburg.
She is survived by two grandsons, Eric (wife Sara) of Springfield and Bryan (wife Sandy) of Salem, IL; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ruth Ann Melton of Springfield, Francis Moore of Springfield, Marian (husband Don) Case of Greenview, and Janet O’Brien of Greenview; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Virginia is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; a son, Donald; a two brothers, Kenneth “Pete” and Charles “Bud” Deckard; and a sister, Leona Hughes.
She was born on February 3, 1926 near Greenview, the daughter of Charles and Marie Deckard.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Elmwood Cemetery in Greenview.
Rev. Don Winters will be officiating.
Memorials contributions can be made to Sunny Acres Nursing Home.
Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens is assisting the family with arrangements.
