Carol Lee Baum, age 70, of Athens, died Sunday December 21, 2008 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield .

Survived by: Husband : Kenneth of Athens Sons : Glen Baum of Athens

Darel Baum of Athens Granddaughter : Kyleigh Baum

Mother : Altha Liehr of Springfield Several Nieces and Nephews

Mrs. Baum was born October 4, 1938 in Jacksonville, Illinois, the daughter of Glen and Altha Sullivan Liehr. She was raised in Perry, Illinois and graduated from Perry High School in 1956. She was a graduate of Western Illinois University in 1960.

She married Kenneth Baum on April 5, 1969, in Springfield. She is preceded in death by her father, Glen.

Mrs. Baum was employed by the Springfield Clinic for fourteen years.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 26, 2008 at Joel Hall Cemetery in Athens.
