Barbara J. Sherrock, age 79, of Williamsville, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 Memorial Medical Center surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene; three sons, Joe (Liz), Michael (Sharron) and John (Krista) Sherrock; ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and one nephew.
Barb is preceded in death by her parents; two half-brothers, Carroll and Loren Schmidt; step sister, Olga Hitt.
Barb was born on June 1, 1937 in Springfield, IL the daughter of Leonard and Anna Gahr – Schmidt.
She graduated from Lanphier High School in 1955.
For most of her life she worked as a secretary in the insurance industry.
Barb was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of the Williamsville United Methodist Church, a Democrat election judge for 56 years, she also enjoyed bingo, going to the boat, watching game shows and was an avid reader.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 9 AM – 12 PM at Mott and Henning Funeral Home. Funeral service will immediately follow at 12 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will be held at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Williamsville.
Rev. Dick Piscatelli will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made out to Williamsville United Methodist Church.

Words cannot lessen the heartache, but may you find comfort in the memories that made her special. Have faith in knowing you will see her again someday. Our deepest condolences.
