Williamsville, IL – August L. Casson, Sr., 77 of Williamsville passed away at 8:58pm on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center.
Augie was born June 10, 1937 and was a graduate of Williamsville High School. Augie had deep faith and loved God, his family, and friends. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, dancing and playing poker.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Casson of Williamsville; his children, Augie (Linda) Casson Jr., Babby (Mark) Neuman, Sue (Phil) Friedrich, and Terry (Theresa) Casson all of Williamsville. He had 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a sister Sue (Dean) Burkholder of Peoria, IL.
A private family gathering will be held at Mott Henning Funeral Home, 206 N. Main Street, Athens, IL on Tuesday May 12, 2015 at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Prairie Heart Institute of Illinois Foundation, 619 E. Mason Street, Springfield, IL 62769 or Central Illinois Kidney and Dialysis Association, 3401 Conifer Drive, Springfield, IL.

Sorry to hear of Auggie’s death. We will cherish the fond memories of wonderful times together when we and our children were younger. I know his suffering is over. Joan

Auggie was the best.. I so enjoyed taking care of him at dialysis…
He will be sadly missed. Prayers to your family.

Tom and I send our sincerest condolences to the whole Casson family~
We so enjoyed our friendship over our dear furry friends .. Auggie will be remembered fondly and he will always have a special place in our hearts..
Kay and Cookie.. you know we will always be there for you when we are in Florida and sure do hope you still plan on coming down.
