Anna Weidhuner, age 83, of Greenview passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Illinois.

She is survived by her son Karl (Dawn) Weidhuner of Greenview, Kathy (Mark) Schreiner of Greenview; six grandchildren, Ashlei (Dave) Shepherd, Evan (Mici) Birch, Allison (Wade) Baskin, Amanda and Austin Weidhuner and Nicole Schreiner; brother, Herbert (Judith) Albers, and three great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Homer, daughter, Carol Birch and sister Edna Vadbunker.

She was born on October 19, 1933, the daughter of Fred and Anna Martens – Albers.

Anna was a homemaker and enjoyed helping Homer on the farm.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in New Holland where she was a member of LWML, Concordia Society and was also a member of the Menard County Garden Club.

Visitation for Anna will be on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens from 4-6 PM. Funeral service will be on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 11 AM with a short visitation starting at 10 AM at Zion Lutheran Church in New Holland, IL.

Burial will be held at Walnut Ridge Cemetery near Middletown.

Pastor Charles Olander will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Zion Lutheran Church in New Holland or the Middletown Volunteer Fire Protection District.
