Kyle Anderson, age 91, of Athens, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home.
He is survived by three sisters, Flora Spear of Lansing, IL; Olene Geralds of Gamiliel, KY; Ruth Sewell of Indianapolis, IN. Kyle was born January 10, 1922 in Cumberland County, KY, the son of Ed and Mattie Anderson of Dubre, KY. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Helen (Young) Anderson and one son James. He honorable served in the US Army for his country in World War II, later worked for General Motors and then farmed in Athens for 55 years. Visitation will be held at Mott and Henning Funeral Home on Sunday June 9, 2013 from 4 PM until 7 PM. Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 10, 2013 at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens at 10 AM. David Sewell will be officiating. Burial will be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield. Memorials can be made to the charity of choice.

Kyle Anderson was a good friend of my parents, Glenn and Lorraine Brown. James did some bookkeeping for my Dad after my Mother was no longer able to do it. They were both fine men and will be missed in the Athens area. My sympathy to the family. Karen Brown Baker

We would like to express our sincere sympathy to all the family and loved ones of Kyle. Kyle was a good friend and he knew so many people. We shared many good times and family dinners over the years.
