Amaryllis "Snookie" Tobias

Amaryllis “Snookie” Tobias, age 93, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at the Villas Senior Care Community in Sherman, Illinois.

 Snookie was born September 2, 1931 in Athens, Illinois, the daughter of Henry and Frieda Ackerman Tobias.

 Mourning her passing are a sister--in-law, Marilyn Tobias of Sherman; and several nieces and nephews.

 She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and three sisters.

 Snookie graduated from Athens High School.

 Ms. Tobias was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Athens, Illinois. 

 Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2024 from 9:00 AM until time of funeral services at 10:00 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Athens. Rev. Richard A. Becker will be officiating. Burial will be held immediately after the services at Joel Hall Cemetery in Athens.
