Condolences

  1. We spent many pleasant times with Al and Nedra. He was a pleasant, delightful
man to be with. God bless our gentle friend.

  2. I sure will miss seeing my buddy come into the clinic. Albert always brought a smile to my face when I would see him. I will miss hearing his stories. Such a wonderful life lived!! Rest in peace my little buddy!

  3. Rick, Karen & family,
So sorry for your loss. Uncle Al’s death is really a loss for our whole family. He was such a kind and thoughtful man. He always showed concern for anyone having health issues. Although I have many wonderful uncles in my family, he was by far my favorite Uncle. My mother loved talking about the great times she and Al had together as children. Of course, their close relationship lasted until my Mom died. We have a lot of pictures of your Mom & Dad with my parents and you, Denny, and me when we were young. Great memories of your family’s visits to see Grammy & Grandad Setzer many times over the years. Again, I am so sorry for your loss. Uncle Al will be missed by his family & friends.

  4. Goodness,Rick, your Father, such a kind and gracious man. He was so good to everyone. I just saw him in church a month ago. We will so miss him. So difficult to see our parents go. Love, Lynn and Ted

  5. So sorry to hear of Al’s passing. He was sure a nice guy. He and Dad sure had some good times together. Susan Schonewise Leighty

  6. So sorry we lost Al. Always enjoyed talking to him. We have lost another pillar of our community, we will always have fond memories of him, I will miss seeing him in church. Sending our prayers for the family.

  7. Rick, Karen & family please accept my condolences, I am so sad to hear of Al’s passing. He showed us Deverman kids a lot of love and was a good husband to our Grandma, he will be missed. Greenview has lost a good man.

  8. Another of the “greatest generation” has left us. Al Setzer was one of the finest gentlemen I have known. Al always had a kind word for everyone he met. I had the privilege of knowing Al and was honored to play golf with him. If you wanted to know how to swing a golf club, all you had to do is copy Al’s swing.

In our world we meet very few people with the gentelness and kindness displayed by Al Setzer. He will be greatly missed. I hope he is giving golf swing lessons in heaven.
