Carolyn Walters

Carolyn Walters, age 78, of Springfield, formerly of Mt. Zion, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Regency Care in Springfield.

She was born July 25, 1945 in Cisne, Illinois the daughter of Fred and Zella Clutter.

Carolyn married Jerry Walters on March 13, 1965.  He preceded her in death on August 30, 2019.

Mourning her passing are her son, Mike Walters (Sarah Jones); grandchildren, Zach and Kayla Walters and their mother, Debbie; three nieces and nephews, Dudley, Christina, and Johnny.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Zella Clutter; brother, Bob Clutter; sister, Beverly Lamb; and brother, Jack Clutter.

She will be dearly missed by many friends.

Carolyn will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Jerry, at Mt. Zion Township Cemetery in Mt. Zion, Illinois.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Illinois Presbyterian Home in Springfield, along with the staff of Heritage Care also in Springfield.
