James A. Kieffer, age 89, of Williamsville, passed away on Monday June 19, 2023 at his home.
Knowing Jim as husband, father, family or friend.
He was born November 1, 1933 in Ashland, Illinois the son of Stephen and Rose Kieffer.
He married Shirley Friedrich on December 15, 1951. They spent 71 wonderful years together; these years were filled with so many memories. Jim worked very hard to always provide for Shirley and their 6 children; Denny (Nanci) Kieffer, Sheila (Mike) Midiri, Bruce (Deborah) Kieffer, Tony (Susan) Kieffer, Rex (Debbie) Kieffer, Pam (Clyde) Ross.
He spent several million miles on the road driving a semi-truck for over 43 years. During that time, he received several “safe driving” awards.
Jim retired in 1994 and enjoyed an amazing 20 years of traveling to Yuma, Arizona with Shirley.
Jim enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was known for his sense of humor. There was a special place in his heart for 12 grandsons.
A graveside services for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 2:00 P.M at Walnut Hill Cemetery near Williamsville.

Shirley and family. We are so sorry to hear about Jim’s passing. He was always a Great Guy and had a great sense of humor and a lot of fun to talk to. We are out of town till later this week and won’t be able to attend his service. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. He will be missed by so many. Bill and Pat Fawns

The entire Howard family is sending our deepest condolences to the Kieffer family. We all have fond memories of your dad and mom. One of the last Mid American drivers. So sorry we didn’t hear about soon enough to attend the service.❤️
